This paper describes an experimental procedure of growing self-assembled Cu nanowires on 4˚ miscut Si(001) with and without the native oxide layer by e-beam evaporation method. The basic geometries of the Cu nanowires are measured with an in-situ scanning-electron-microscope (SEM).
